Simple Pickled Purple Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups cabbage shredded
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Begin by placing the shredded cabbage and crushed garlic into a large glass jar.
  • Combine the vinegars, water, sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  • Stir and heat until the salt and sugar have dissolved.
  • Pour the liquid over the cabbage and allow it to sit until it cools before refrigerating.

Notes

Store in the fridge for 2 weeks.
