Ingredients
Apple Filling Ingredients:
- 6-7 cups of apples peeled, cored and chopped into bite sized pieces
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice – optional
- 2 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder
Crumble Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 white sugar
- 1/2 cup vegan butter room temperature
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Combine all the ingredients for the apple filling in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Transfer the apple filling into a medium-sized baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine all the crumble ingredients and mix thoroughly using either the back of a fork or your hands. Personally, I prefer using my hands to ensure everything is well blended.
- With your hands, spread the crumble over the apple mixture.
- Bake the crumble for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
