Date Snickers

If you’re a fan of Snickers you’ll love these wholesome vegan versions of the classic chocolate bars. This recipe shows you how to create rich Snickers-inspired snacks with wholesome ingredients like dates, peanut butter, peanuts, melted chocolate, and a sprinkle of flaked salt.

Date Snickers

Ingredients

  • 15-20 dates
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup Peanuts
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tsps coconut oil
  • sprinkle of salt

Instructions

  • Arrange dates in a square formation on a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Lay another sheet of parchment paper over the dates and flatten them with a rolling pin.
  • spread the peanut butter onto the dates and scatter half of the peanuts on top of the peanut butter.
  • Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave, removing after 20 seconds to stir to prevent the chocolate from burning.
  • Drizzle the chocolate over the dates. Scatter the remaining peanuts on top and add a pinch of flaked salt.
  • Put the dates in the freezer for at least 20 minutes.
  • Cut into squares or rectangles and store in the fridge for up to a week.
